Understand social dynamics and deconstruct the ways in which powerful systems of sense-making, invested in retaining the status quo and economically-beneficial ways of operating, support dysfunctional ways of engaging and continue to embed structures of dominance by some over others. This course explores issues such as: racism, gender and intersectionality, gender-based violence, disability, identity, whiteness, heteronormativity and atypical ways of being, among others.
