The Programme for Management Development blends theory and practice in an easy-paced way – there are plenty of spaces in the curriculum to give you time to assimilate what you learn. You will also be challenged and stimulated by group learning and discussions. The goal is to deliver actionable knowledge. You will leave with a commitment to work on a real organisational challenge in your workplace, ensuring a return on investment.

The content and delivery of the programme have been adapted to the current situation.  PMD will be delivered remotely over four short blocks.  During these blocks, delegates will be fully engaged with the programme and with interacting with other delegates.  Between the blocks there will be structures in place to ensure engagement and learning continue.

The UCT GSB is a globally-ranked business school with a world-class reputation and is one of just 89 business schools in the world to be triple-crown accredited. Established in 1967, the PMD is the oldest continually running short course in South Africa and has graduated over 5 000 well-rounded managers who have gone on to make an impact in their organisation.

LEARN TO MANAGE IN A CHANGING ENVIRONMENT

Leadership is not a state - it's a journey, and at the UCT GSB, it's a journey we understand. We know that each leadership stage requires not only a different skill-set, but also a different mind-set and the matching value-set that will help you transition with clarity and confidence.

On the Programme for Management Development you will explore the 5 key mindsets:

  • Self
  • Organisation
  • Context
  • Relationships
  • Change
