Mohan Vivekanandan


Mohan is a finance and infrastructure executive with over 25 years’ experience. He is the Chairman and owner of ISG, the leading producer of precast concrete products in Southern Africa, with 19 factories and over 1,000 employees in South Africa, Botswana and Namibia. Mohan is also a Senior Advisor for the African Development Bank, supporting urban infrastructure and municipal financing initiatives.

He was previously the Group Executive: Origination & Coverage at the Development Bank of Southern Africa, and a member of the DBSA’s Executive and Investment Committees. His teams funded over 100 projects totalling ZAR 100Bn+ ($5.5bn) across energy, transport, municipal and other infrastructure sectors over a seven-year period. Mohan began his career as a management consultant at Bain & Company in Chicago, USA.

Mohan holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management in Chicago, USA and a MScin Global Finance from New York University / Hong Kong University of Science & Technology. He earned a BA (Honours) in Economics and Applied Mathematics from Northwestern University in Chicago, USA.
