Addisu A. Lashitew, PhD (University of Groningen, the Netherlands), is Associate Professor and Canada Research Chair in Sustainable Enterprise at the DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University. He is also Adjunct Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Business, University of Cape Town, and a Non-Resident Fellow at the Brookings Institution. 

He previously served as a David Rubenstein Research Fellow in the Global Economy and Development Program at the Brookings Institution in Washington, DC. His research and teaching examine the nexus between business and society, with a particular focus on corporate sustainability, social entrepreneurship, social innovation, and digital technologies.  

His work has been published in leading journals, including the Journal of Management Studies, Journal of International Business Studies, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Research Policy, World Development, and the Journal of Business Ethics.
