Sarita Sehgal
Sarita Sehgal is a partnering strategist with over 20 years of experience across the UN, NGOs, philanthropy and private sector in Europe and Africa. She brings deep knowledge of the global health and development landscape, having advised and worked directly with CEOs, UN and government leaders, as well as activists, youth, and marginalised communities. Her research focuses on cross-sector collaboration and how to effectively navigate adversity, create value and transform systems.
Sarita straddles academia and practice, teaching on collaboration, communication and leadership at the GSB, GIBS, Grenoble Ecole de Management, Geneva Graduate Institute and the Sustainability Institute among others. She describes partnering as a “mindful dance”, and as Associate Director at The Partnering Initiative combines research, coaching, and strategic advisory for organizations such as FAO, Wellcome, CGIAR and the SUN Movement.
Sarita co-chaired the CSSI 2024 conference on power and inclusion in cross sector partnerships with Professor Ralph Hamann and serves as Deputy Chair of the Board for the Reos Institute. Grounded in experience across the African context and with a commitment to reflective inner work, she supports individuals and institutions to partner effectively across sectors, align purpose with potential, and grow their impact.
Sarita holds a PhD from the UCT GSB, an MBA from INSEAD, an MA from the Geneva Graduate Institute, a BA from UC Berkeley and an ICF accredited coaching certification.
A former professional ballet dancer, she lives between Geneva and Cape Town, studies ancient Indian philosophy, and is currently working to master Argentine tango.
