Habiba Logday served as Head of Criminal Investigations at the South African Revenue Services (SARS) until 2024.  She started her career in the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA).

At SARS, Habiba led professional programmes for future SARS enforcement staff focusing on forensic audits, compliance audits, and criminal investigations in a digitised world. She represented South Africa at global platforms such as the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Heads of Tax Crime meetings.

In 2025, Habiba set up the HALO Institute of Investigations and a bespoke tax consultancy seeking to legitimately regularise client tax affairs or find solutions to compliance challenges from customs and excise to bilateral conventions.
