Beverly Celia Shrand-Stein


Beverly Shrand-Stein is an Executive Education Programme Director, Curriculum Designer, Systems Thinking Facilitator, Executive Coach, and Action Learning Group Coach. Beverly teaches Systems Thinking, Design Thinking and Business Ethics.

Beverly played an integral role in launching UCT GSB’s Global Master’s in International Management (CEMS MIM) programme as the programme’s Academic Director at the time ofit's inception. The CEMS MIM is the first of its kind in South Africa and affiliated to 34 of the world’s top tier business schools. Currently, Beverly convenes various Management and Leadership Development programmes for several of South Africa’s blue-chip companies, as well as the annual flagship Executive Development Programme (EDP) at GSB.

Dr Shrand is the author/co-author of several conference papers and academic journal articles in the field of Organisational Psychology, her most frequently cited paper being “Shrand & Ronnie (2019): Commitment and identification in the Ivory Tower: academics’ perceptions of organisational support and reputation, Studies in Higher Education”.

Prior to transitioning to academia, Beverly was a marketing manager, and she has several years of corporate experience in retail (Reader’s Digest, HomeChoice) and financial services (Direct Axis, owned by FirstRand).
