Dr Angel Myeza  Myeza


Dr Angel Myeza is currently the Vice President: Field Services for Anglophone Africa at Schneider Electric. She has been with Schneider Electric since 2019 and, in this role, she leads multi-cultural teams across multiple geographies in Southern, East and West Africa and is accountable for the strategic and profitable growth of the Services Business, covering multiple segments (e.g., oil and gas, mining, consumer packaged goods, cloud and service providers, and power generation). Before joining Schneider Electric, Angel worked at ABB as a VP and HUB Services Manager, looking after Africa, with a focus in Industrial Automation within the Power Generation segment. Prior to that, she worked in the Engineering Services Consulting space, for Bosch Projects as a Regional Director, where she also held a role as a Board Member. She started her career as an engineering graduate at Eskom, where she subsequently held several roles over a 7-year period, finally progressing to Engineering Group Manager at Rotek Industries (a subsidiary of Eskom).

Angel is passionate about research and knowledge contribution in relation to black psychology and black leadership, drawing on lived experiences within an organizational context, in order to empower black Africans to own organizational spaces, achieve psychological emancipation and, with these tools, achieve economic power. In addition, she has a keen interest in topics that deal with black identity, race, representation, diversity and inclusion. 

Angel holds a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Cape Town, an MBA from the University of the Witwatersrand, and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechatronics) from the University of Cape Town.
