Willie du Plooy oversees all aspects of the UCT GSB Information and Communication Technology (ICT), providing direction, advice, and cutting-edge ICT solutions. He has extensive experience in operations, planning and organising, cost reduction, quality control, project management, strategy development, and implementation, personnel development, process design, and continuous improvement.

De Plooy formerly served as UCT’s main campus ICT Service Desk Senior Manager, and as head of Sanlam Health’s Communications and Projects. 

Du Plooy holds a Masters of Law (LL.M) specialising in Labour Law from UCT and a PG Dip in Management Practice (PDBA) from UCT GSB. He also holds certification as a Technical Trainer (CTT+), Service Desk Manager, ITIL Foundation and COBIT5.
