The “Introduction to Management Consulting” talk, hosted by the UCT GSB Consulting Club, is an orientation session designed to give students a grounded overview of the consulting industry. Led by Lelo Skosana (Managing Director, FTI Consulting), the session draws on real-world advisory experience across public affairs, strategic communications, and economic development to unpack how consulting operates at the intersection of business, government, and markets.

Lelo Skosana

Managing Director for Public Affairs & Strategic Communications for Africa & Emerging Markets at FTI Consulting
Lelo Skosana is a strategic public affairs and communications leader with over a decade of experience operating at the intersection of government, business, and economic development across Africa and other emerging markets. He currently serves as Managing Director for Public Affairs & Strategic Communications for Africa & Emerging Markets at FTI Consulting, where he advises multinational corporations, investors, and institutions on navigating complex policy, regulatory, and stakeholder environments. Lelo brings a strong foundation in development economics, policy advocacy, and international business strategy, with sectoral experience spanning energy, infrastructure, and trade. He holds a Master’s in Business Administration and Management from the London School of Economics (LSE).
