Welcome to the UCT GSB Management Consulting Club, a student run society within the university’s Graduate School of Business. Founded in 2012, the Consulting Club is dedicated to supporting students interested in pursuing careers in management consulting.
Every year, the club appoints a new executive committee and refreshes its winning aspiration, for 2026 we’ve set the ambition at pairing African Insights with World Class Outcomes.
Intro Into Management Consulting
Intro into management consulting is one of the four quarterly tracks that we deliver as part of our annual programme. Many of us within the club share the belief that while the consulting heyday may have stayed in the mid 2000’s – consulting skills themselves, are timeless and stay relevant. With that in mind, this workstream is created with the goal of delivering the best management consulting toolkits, skillsets, personal development and much more. Our aim is to give anyone who is curious enough the foundational and directional elements of the most important themes in management consulting: behavioral expectations, problem solving, hypothesis development, framework development, communication and other soft skills.

Distinguished Speakers Program
We're proud to continue the GSB’s tradition of hosting some of the most important names in industry right here on our campus, for the Distinguished Speakers Program. This program runs throughout the year and is the management consulting club’s moonshot aspiration. Through this program, our members will learn about what’s keeping CEO’S up at night, what the leading consulting practice’s a solving for right now, and which shifts in current affairs are driving the biggest changes in business and society.
