Funding Options for this Programme

The UCT Graduate School of Business (GSB) has scholarship funding available and is offering talented young South Africans and African citizens an opportunity to join its top-ranked academic programmes. Fully or partially funded scholarships are available.

Candidates must meet the admission criteria for their respective programme and be accepted into the programme in order to receive the scholarship. Applicants who would like to apply for scholarship funding for the current application cycle need to complete their scholarship application prior to the closing date for MPHIL programme applications.

The Bertha Centre for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship in partnership with the Bertha Foundation awards scholarships to nurture a new generation of social innovators and promote entrepreneurial solutions to help solve some of the urgent social and environmental problems of our time. To date the Centre has awarded over ZAR 7 million in funding to more than 60 students from across the African continent.

  • Limited funding is available for PhD students from the UCT Postgraduate Funding Office. Please refer to the UCT website for more information. South African citizens can approach any major bank as all the major banks can arrange study loans at a reasonable interest rate. You may need a guarantor if you are studying full time.

  • US and Canadian citizens may be eligible for their governments' funding programmes.
