Prof Bonang Mohale
Bonang Mohale is the Chancellor of the University of the Free State, former President of Business Unity South Africa (BUSA), former CEO of Business Leadership South Africa (BLSA), Professor of Practice at the Johannesburg Business School (JBS) in the Faculty of Business and Economics, and Chairman of two listed entities, The Bidvest Group Limited and ArcelorMittal, as well as SBV Services and Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Africa. He is a member of the Community of Chairpersons (CoC) of the World Economic Forum and author of three best-selling books, Lift As You Rise, Behold the Turtle and Coming in From the Cold. He has been included in the Reputation Poll International’s (RPI) 2023 list of the ‘100 Most Reputable Africans’. The selection criteria are Integrity, Reputation, Transparency, Visibility and Impact. And he is the recipient of the 2023 ME-Vision Academy Award for Exclusive Recognition in Successful Leadership.
Dr Lesego Rametsi
Dr Lesego Rametsi is the Managing Executive for Employee Experience at Absa Group and a UCT GSB alumna. She has over twenty-five years of industry experience.
Before assuming this role in September 2023 , she was Absa’s Group Head of Health and Wellness and served as a key member of the bank's multi-award-winning COVID-19 Advisory Committee and served on the Banking Association of South Africa's (BASA) Covid Vaccine Oversight Committee. She built a distinguished career in the mining sector, holding senior medical executive positions at Kumba Iron Ore, Anglo American Platinum, and Harmony Gold. The depth and breadth of experience gained across these complex and high risk environments, coupled with her strong advocacy for preventative and sustainable wellbeing and deep care for people, have firmly positioned her as a thought leader in strategy, leadership, culture, sustainable human performance, occupational medicine and health risk management.
She holds degrees in Medicine & Surgery (MBChB), Occupational Medicine, Business Administration (MBA), all obtained from the University of Cape Town, alongside completing an Advanced Management Programme (AMP) at IMD (Switzerland). She chairs the Bankmed Medical Scheme Board and actively advises on national healthcare policies, cementing her status as a corporate & public health and wellbeing industry leader.
