"The Need for Steward Leadership in Times of Disruption"

By

ARCHBISHOP DR. THABO MAKGOBA

Archbishop and Metropolitan of the Anglican Church of Southern Africa,
Associate of the Allan Gray Centre for Values-Based Leadership.

We invite you to be part of the Allan Gray Speaker Series, bringing together individuals with an interest in Steward Leadership - how such leaders have a responsibility to be trustees of the most marginalised and less-resourced in our society, to be a voice for those who do not have equal power (those experiencing gender-based violence and sexual violence; those with unequal economic opportunities and less social power; the less skilled), spend their energies in healing communities and working towards a "coming together" rather than being divisive and hyper-critical, the need for compassionate and practiced empathy, and committed to looking after our environment.  The Archbishop will explore how such leaders need to inspire through living the values which constructively help others to turn from the attitudes, actions, behaviours, and even products that enable negative outcomes for themselves and others.
