Learning & Assessment
Executive MBA
The Executive MBA is targeted at individuals with experience who want to enhance their ability to conceptualise and think analytically. It therefore emphasises process, insight and the application of new learning over content.
The EMBA learning experience is built around four key principles:
Accelerated Learning
SysTAL is a systemic approach to learning that synthesises systems thinking and action learning. It provides a proven method of accelerating executive development and increasing the capacity to handle complex situations effectively.
Developing new theories
Students are exposed to ideas in scenario thinking, complexity theory, game theory, systems thinking and critical management reasoning.
Facilitators not teachers
Participants are encouraged to develop their own contextual theories. Based on their experience and learning in each module they are helped to form their own perspectives on, and solutions to, the challenges of the workplace.
Action learning
In the Executive MBA faculty members are seen as facilitators of the learning process, not teachers. The information exchange is interactive and collaborative
Learning on the Executive MBA happens in both informal classes and the workplace where participants apply and craft their own learning experience.
