Short Courses
The GSB Executive Education Unit is internationally acknowledged for its innovative approach to customising programmes that address the specific needs in companies. The unit has received an Award for Excellence for its customised programmes from the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU).
Each organisation has distinctive issues and goals, so customised learning interventions must be tailored to make a significant and relevant impact. Corporations with which Executive Education has a continuing involvement are varied in size, sector, focus and challenge. Examples include BHP Billiton, Nestle SA, Johnson & Jonhson, South African Breweries, and Standard Bank.
The GSB believes strongly in collaboration and all learning material and processes are co-created with input from the client. At the outset, a client’s organisational efficiencies and leadership requirements are assessed by the GSB's faculty and consultants, so that interventions are designed in alignment with the organisation’s vision and strategic objectives.
The in-company programmes are purely developmental and are not constrained by the requirements of accreditation. No formal assessment is necessary, but can be included if the organisation has that requirement. For more information see our policy on non-credit bearing short courses.
Some of Executive Education's most popular open programmes are also available to be run in-house. These include:
- Presentation Skills.
- Business Writing Skills
- Leading with Intuition
- Project Management and Strategic Project Management.
These courses may be run in their current format for a particular organisation, or may be customised to suit organisational requirements.
