UK Alumni Club
You are one of a select few to have graduated from the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business. As such, you have been given the tools to see clearer and further, to find the big picture beyond its current frame or any limits imposed by others. It is no wonder that Graduates from the UCT Graduate School of Business are successful entrepreneurs, CEOs and company executives. All over the globe.
You move on and the world moves on. The networks we build have long, complex branches and we have scant time to invest in nurturing old connections in South Africa, however precious we know them to be. How much more difficult when you are based in the United Kingdom.
The Graduates is designed to give you the chance to refresh the connections you made at the GSB, not just with fellow alumni and their experiences, but also with the newest thinking in the business world – coming from a school where you trust the source, you understand the quality, and you know the relevance.
The Graduates will hold four events each year. The dates for 2015 will be finalised shortly. Each one will be a unique and stimulating get- together exclusive to GSB graduates based in the United Kingdom. The programme will be varied, world class, stimulating, topical, and as you would expect from the alumni of the GSB, out of the ordinary.
The annual subscription fee of GBP2000 per annum for membership of the Graduates will be given 100% to the Alumni Endowment fund, which is used to fund Bursaries for talented students from less privileged backgrounds.
The UCT GSB – an alma mater to be proud of
Nearly 50 years on from its inception, the UCT Graduate School of Business is a major force of transformational power. It has become the foremost centre of business education on the African continent. It is one of only 60 business schools worldwide to be triple-crown accredited, meaning it has reached or exceeded the standards set by the three largest and most influential business school accreditations bodies: the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB); the Association of MBAs (AMBA) and the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), which awards the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) accreditation.
It is ranked as the top business school in the Middle East and Africa in the QS Global 200 Top Business Schools 2014 survey.
