Allan Gray Centre for Values-based Leadership
The UCT Graduate School of Business (GSB) in association with the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation established the Centre in Values-based Leadership at the GSB in April 2011. Value Based Leadership focuses on the central role that values, meaning and purpose play in business. Read More
The Bertha Centre for Social Innovation & Entrepreneurship
Bertha Centre for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship is a catalyst for social impact and for dialogue that promotes and emboldens social and environmental change agents finding new solutions for emerging markets in Africa.The Centre invests in the next generation of social innovators through scholarships; practical, rigorous teaching, exposure and debate; and a focus on applying leading research to responding to challenges that are immediate and critical to the fabric of Africa’s social and economic future – many of which sit on its geographic doorstep. Centre for Innovation & Entrepreneurship
The UCT Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) at the GSB has been operating since February 2001. The CIE is engaged in teaching and material development in entrepreneurship, research (notably the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor), and business creation and development.
Managing Infrastructure Reform and Regulation (MIR)
The Management Programme in Infrastructure Reform & Regulation (MIR) strives to be a leading centre of excellence and expertise for Africa and other emerging and developing economies. Read more
Raymond Ackerman Academy of Entrepreneurial Development
The RAA in the Western Cape was started in February 2005 funded by a generous grant from the Ackerman Foundation. The goal of the Academy is to take school leavers primarily, but not necessarily, from previously disadvantaged communities and to encourage a spirit of entrepreneurship as a means to promote personal development and job creation in South Africa. The Academy is part of the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the GSB. Read more
Centre for Coaching
The Centre for Coaching and its partner, the GSB, are leading the way for integral coaching in South Africa. Through its research, teaching and consulting, the Centre promotes coaching as an effective business tool, deepening knowledge of coaching and what it offers, and professionalising the coaching fraternity in South Africa. Lean Institute Africa
Based at the UCT Graduate School of Business and headed by Professor Norman Faull, the Lean Institute Africa is the source of advanced 'Lean Thinking' in Africa. The Institute’s mission is to set in motion the frontiers of 'Lean Thinking' and its implementation across all sectors of the economy, through summits, networking, publications and workshops.
