In general, all awards offered by the University are limited to South African citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of the UCT Research Associateships, International Students' Scholarships and the UCT Senior Entrance Merit Scholarships. Previously disadvantaged South Africans have the greatest chance to receive assistance.
