Recruitment Services

Career Services

As the leading business school in Africa, the GSB is proud to offer recruitment specialists excellent opportunities to secure top talent.
There are a number of options open to companies wishing to recruit from the GSB student body:

Graduate Recruitment Programme - Formal Company Presentations

Companies are encouraged to present to MBA, PDBA and AIM students. Allocated a one-hour presentation between lectures to ensure maximum attendance, companies are provided with the opportunity to introduce themselves and interact with students on campus . Cocktails and snacks usually follow the presentation, sponsored by the hosting company. All coordination of the presentation, and the resultant recruitment process, is managed by Career Services.  Examples of recent company presentations include: McKinsey, Deloitte, Bain, Rand Merchant Bank, Frost & Sullivan, to name a few..

Job Posting Board

Companies are encouraged to advertise their job vacancies to students and alumni. Email vacancies to the Career Services, at careers@gsb.uct.ac.za,  listing your full company details and a return email address. We will be happy to notify students of the job specifications via email and through the Alumni Portal.

Talent Guide to UCT Graduate School of Business Students

This annual electronic publication highlights the CVs of students seeking employment upon graduation. These students might be in their first or second year of their modular course or full-time studies and are drawn from all three academic programmes at the GSB. To obtain a copy or subscribe, please contact Fiona Erispe – Fiona.Erispe@gsb.uct.ac.za.

Internships

The GSB's academic year begins at the end of January and finishes mid-December. Many students are available as from December through to the end of the following January.  The Career Services actively encourages companies to utilise the skills of GSB students by offering internship opportunities. This is valuable both to the students and to the company.  Internships which recent graduates have completed have among other been with Infosys, Vantage Capital and The Tony Elumelu Foundation.
