AIM
Selection Criteria
Applicants to the AIM programme need to demonstrate a high level of personal motivation, stamina and initiative. In addition, applicants must show a willingness to work in a group situation and the ability to tolerate and manage pressure and conflict.
Age and work experience
Applicants should be at least 25 years old and/or have at least five years' work experience. While no minimum education is required, the majority of delegates have matriculated and some have tertiary qualifications. Delegates must have demonstrated success at whatever level of work they have been involved in.
Essays and references
Applicants are required to submit several short essays motivating their application. Two confidential reference reports must also be completed by two individuals who are known in a professional context and who are not close family members.
National Benchmark Test (NBT)
All applicants are required to complete the National Benchmark Test (NBT). For details on the test please visit the www.uct.ac.za. This test is part of the selection criteria and will be used to assess the applicant's potential in order to be able to provide the necessary individual academic support during the programme.
Interview
Applicants who have met the admission requirements will be contacted to attend a selection interview.
