Course Fees

The course cost is R2 500 per person and includes the six day course, resources, certificate and catering. Principals/School Management Teams please contact educationinnovation@gsb.uct.ac.za  to apply for partial scholarship if required.

By the end of the course, participants will have formed a deep a relevant understanding of:

  • Systems thinking
  • The key elements of systemic change at schools with specific emphasis on collaboration
  • The key elements of systemic change at schools with specific emphasis on innovation.
  • The role of the non-profit sector in the School-based Complementary Learning Framework.
  • Asset-based approaches to school and community development.
  • Leadership in schools – leading in complex environments.
  • Key Components of Project management

Course Information

This interactive four-week course with two additional sessions offers a rich learning experience that blends theory and practice with a focus on the latter. The course will take place on four consecutive Saturday from 08:30 - 15:30 and two additional meeting days in 2018.   Venues include The University of Cape Town's Graduate School of Business and UCT GSB MTN Solution Space Philippi Village

  • Week 2: Saturday 3 March:        Identifying the different potential partners
  • Week 3: Saturday 10 March:      Building and managing partnerships
  • Week 4: Saturday 17 March:      Sustainability and Accountability in Partnerships
